iOS 15 Public Beta: How to Download The Latest Update

iOS 15 Public Beta
Written by Tuazor

An iOS 15 Public Beta of Apple’s latest update for iOS, iPadOS, watchOS, and tvOS is now available for testing. Despite the fact that developers have had access to the new update for some time, you can now check it out for yourself.

Anyone with an Apple device that supports the latest update can use the public beta for free.

However, keep in mind that iOS 15 is still in Beta which means you may encounter bugs and app crashes during this period. Before you install the public beta on your device, you should make a backup of your existing device. You first need to update your paired iPhone to iOS 15 Public Beta before you can access the watchOS 8 public beta.

As it is still a public beta, not all of the features announced at WWDC 2021 will be available just yet. There will be a gradual rollout of new features as new updates become available before the official release date.

However, if you cannot wait to see the new features for yourself, here’s how you can get it right away:

iOS 15 Public Beta: How to Download

Before you can set up the iOS 15 Public Beta, you must first create a public beta profile. Access the Apple Beta Software Program page by opening Safari on the device you wish to upgrade. To enroll your device, click on the ‘Sign Up’ button. You will be asked to enter your Apple ID credentials.

You will then be prompted to download the beta profile for your device – click the download icon to proceed. In the Settings application, under the iCloud account tab, you must enable the profile. The device will display a new section titled “Profile Download.” Tap the profile and install it, then restart the device.

As soon as your device has restarted, it will prompt you to upgrade to the public beta version of iOS 15, which can be done by heading to Settings > General > Software Update and tapping the download button.

The same procedure applies to both iPad OS and Watch OS public betas.

iOS 15 Public Beta: Top New Features

The new features announced at WWDC last month will be introduced gradually by Apple. One of the new features is an enhanced Focus mode for iPhones, FaceTime SharePlay features, and the ability to send FaceTime call links.

As an additional feature, users will also be able to use portrait mode in FaceTime calls with blurry backgrounds. Furthermore, Apple will be integrating Spatial Audio into FaceTime as well. A new design is also being introduced for the weather application. Furthermore, iPhone users will be able to use the iPhone’s camera or any other image stored on the device to identify and locate more information about objects, landmarks, and plants.

The application operates very much like Google Lens, except that all of the processing is performed on the device itself.

We recommend that you view the complete list of features that are coming with iOS 15 here in order to learn more about every new feature.
